FACES BEHIND THE BRAND

Chris Reynolds
Chris always had a passion for sports from a young age. A standout baseball player in high school, he played college ball at Northlake Community College before finishing up his collegiate career at Dallas Baptist University. Drafted as a pitcher by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 1997, Chris played four seasons in the major leagues, to include one with the Pittsburgh Pirates before hanging up the glove in 2001.

Looking for his next opportunity, he went into the mortgage industry for a few years, but felt the pull to get back to his passion of sports. In 2007, he started his career at BSN Sports as a Customer Service Representative. 

In just two short years, he was promoted to Field Sales Professional and became a founding member of Team Texas in 2009. His territory being the DFW metroplex and Southeast Texas to the Rio Grande Valley, his high energy and dedication to customer service quickly stood out to his customers.  His sales accomplishments and leadership enabled him to be promoted to Branch Manager in 2013 where he managed 10 sales pros’ while also maintaining his own yearly sales of 1M+. Promoted to his current role in 2015, he oversees 34 sales pros and three branch managers that cover the DFW Metroplex and Southeast Texas to the Rio Grande Valley. 

When asked what he has enjoyed most about his time at BSN, Chris had this to say.  “It’s all about the people that you work for.  From the top, the leadership of this company has been great.  In times of challenge, they inspire our dedication and focus. To work side by side with Adam and Terry is unmatched. It makes the job he does everyday FUN. Having fun doing what you love around sports and making an impact in students and coaches’ lives, this leads to a recipe for success.”

His manager, Terry Moffett, had this to say about Chris. “Chris is woven into the fabric of BSN Texas Field Sales group. As a Sales Pro, Chris made an immediate impact on coaches and their programs through his dedication. Varsity coaches asked Chris to speak to their teams prior to a big game. He is a master communicator / get-it-done warrior that customers and Sales Pros know they can count on. Chris embodies the passion-dedication-integrity that customers demand, and we promise to deliver…and he is just getting started!"

Elyse Reedy
Elyse participated in multiple sports growing up. Playing travel softball through high school, as well as volleyball and rugby. Described as being a very competitive person willing to step out there to enjoy the sports experience. 
Elyse joined Lids Team Sports in Indianapolis in July 2011 as a Sales Support Representative (SSR) assisting sales professionals with their orders. Within two years, she had been promoted twice and was a Supervisor, managing 25 SSRs and responsible for the entire East Coast and sales offices in Nashville.

In January 2016, Lids Team Sports was acquired by BSN Sports. After a few months, Elyse moved into the Customer Service Representative (CSR) Manager role for the CSRs in Indianapolis. In this role, she was responsible for CSRs and their support to sales pros nationwide.

In 2017, she moved over to Production as Manager of the Indianapolis Decoration Group. Responsible for making sure orders are getting out of the production facility on time while working with CSRs and Sales Pros and addressing questions that may come up. Additionally, she was part of a group responsible for transitioning the facility onto the SAP platform. In June 2020, she took on additional role of handling the Decoration support staff at Ave K in Grand Prairie, TX. In this new role, she works to maintain consistency between the two largest production facilities, while also driving efficiencies that ensure all BSN customers’ orders are handled in a timely manner.

Reedy earned her BS in Apparel Merchandising with a minor in Business from Indiana University.

When asked what advice she would give to females that are interested in an opportunity with BSN Sports, Elyse said, “Have confidence in who you are and what you know. Don’t be afraid to go for it.  There were a few times where I wasn’t sure if I was the best qualified for the job. But I stepped out there and wasn’t afraid of learning something new. I quickly realized that the company is willing to invest in their employees that put in the work to both improve themselves and company performance."

Her manager, Tara Black, describes Elyse as, “someone who never backs down from a challenge. Highly driven to create a consistent and structured process in her department. She challenges herself to know everything about the production process from the order assignment to the completion of decoration process, even understanding the invoice system. Strong ability at coaching and teaching other team members to success.
